Hilary Steel wrote to our committe in the following terms:
At the discipline meeting last night it transpired that many clubs are using
their websites and forum facilities to allow opinions etc regarding
discipline issues.
From now on, any reports of such usage will be classed as conduct contrary to the well being and ethos of this league. All clubs secretaries and webmasters are asked to ensure that they monitor very carefully what is allowed to be publicised on their sites.
Please remember that everyone is innocent until proven guilty and it is not opinions which find out all the facts but the discipline committee who act on the full facts and knowledge gained during the meetings.
Discipline issues and minutes are never publicly recorded - if possible we would like everyone who reads our websites to believe that we do not have discipline problems! I wish that were true, but so far this season (only 3 weeks in) in spite of having 3 brawls there have been no complaints about foul and abusive language, so perhaps we are all doing something right on the park.
Can we now please continue in this manner on the websites.
