The Local Network Fund has an additional £250,000 available in grants for this financial year. The deadline for applications is Friday 11th February 2005. Any money not awarded will have to be returned to the government.
The aim of the Local Network Fund for Children and Young People is to help disadvantaged children and young people achieve their full potential.
This is a great opportunity for clubs and service areas, so apply for an application form straight away to ensure the deadline does not pass you by.
Grants range from £250 to £7,000.

North West Regional Development Manager, Chris Thair said, "This is great way to apply for funding down at your local club".
He added, "Any projects similar to a normal Awards for All bid i.e. a revenue project could pass, this includes setting up a project in local schools (i.e. coaching and after school clubs), festivals, and linking all this to starting a new team at your club. Deadlines are tight regarding this funding however this is one of may funds and local rugby league development officers are always happy to assist clubs with funding applications."
